This hotel is built on the site that was once owned by the Koufuku temple. The building was constructed with a steel frame but designed in the Azekura style (a raised floor with triangle log construction). Kasuga Hotel is a 2 min. walk from Kintetsu Nara Station. The hotel is conveniently located near Nara Park, Kasuga Shrine, and many other popular tourist sights. This Japanese style inn has 35 rooms and accommodates up to 150 people. Most rooms are Japanese style. Meals are also Japanese cuisine.
This hotel has three special features.
- Cooking: Special effort made to use local ingredients and vegetables to create refined dishes that reflect the spirit of the people of Nara.
- Ofuro (Japanese bath): Though located in the city, you can enjoy rotenburo (outdoor bath). The tranquil environment makes it hard to believe it is located along a main street. Having come all the way to Japan, please take time to enjoy the experience of Japanese style bathing.
- Newly remodeled (2005) rotenburo rooms. These luxury rooms let you enjoy rotenburo bathing in the privacy of your own room.
Though located along the main street, the evenings become quiet and relaxed.
