Japanese folk craft shop in Miyajima
The beautiful green garden under the blue sky. Nishiyama-bekkan is located at the seaside in the suburb of Onomichi. It was built to welcome the guests of the shipbuilding companies.
Large Japanese garden is well-kept and it shows different sceneries by season. Nishiyama-bekkan has several detached rooms varied in styles for guest to choose from ; Japanese house of Sukiya-zukuri (which incorporates a number of tea ceremony house features), Japanese house with a straw-thatched roof, and a western style house.
Historical features with unique characteristics of each house help the guests to relax in a nice and slow atmosphere. The number of guest per night is limited so that finest service can be provided. The meals are a set of colorful dishes of Seto specialties , mainly fresh fishes from Onomichi.
"I am just doing what I am supposed to do" says the host. Such modest words from him express the genuine service that comforts the guests and offers indulging moments. Nishiyama-bekkan is the precious ryokan that has been loved by many guests for a long time.
