This facility was built by one of the largest ship-building companies, Hitachi Zosen Corporation, for welcoming their guests and employee's business trip. Now it is run by a separate corporation and takes reservations from the public as a hotel.
The building is old 4-storied building without an elevator but because of its origin the rooms are spacious and some rooms have a kitchen. The most recommended room is a Twin A type that consists of a bed room and a living room, like a room called junior sweet at other hotels. The view of sea in front of the building is also satisfying.
There are various types of rooms, Japanese style, single, etc. and the most reasonable priced room is Twin type C that has no bathroom.
The dinner is also reasonably priced and the guests have two choices; Japanese dishes using local fish or western style dishes.
Because of the origin, the guests cannot expect very detailed and sophisticated service but there is no coldness or sense of isolation the tourists might find at other budget hotels. The guests can sense that they are doing their best to serve well and their attitude makes the guests comfortable and relaxed.
