Stay at World Heritage Site - Iwami Ginzan.

District of Omori in Iwami Ginzan is an old town surrounded by mountains. It retains traces of the town which flourished in the mining of silver. "Yuzuriha" is an inn located at the entrance of the silver mine. It was built on the site of the samurai residence in 2012 with the old construction method without using nails to fit into the atmosphere of the town.

The most attractive feature of this inn is that you can stay at the town in Iwami Ginzan. The entrance and lobby where plenty of wood is used, and the courtyard have a calm and Japanese atmosphere. Although there are Japanese-Western-style rooms, the building is made of wood and guest rooms are basically Western-style rooms. It seems to be more like a hotel than a Japanese ryokan.

A country meal made by the priest of a local temple is served at the restaurant, "Mabu-no-Ie", just past the National Historic Site mansion. The elaborate meals are made of fresh local fish and vegetables.

Many people visited Iwami Ginzan just after when it was registered as World Heritage Site, but because of the nature of the silver mine site, its attraction as a tourist destination is not catchy and clear to the general public. However, it is also one of the best parts of staying here that to get a glimpse of the lives people used to have at that time as well as the silver mine. You will surely notice the harmony among the ruins, nature and the people who live there. People who understand the charm of this village and care about it have been engaged in this inn. Please feel free to ask them about Iwami Ginzan and the town of Omori. That should make your stay more memorable.

Room | Yuzuriha
This small inn consists of 7 rooms. The guest rooms of the annex and the second floor are Japanese-Western-style rooms, and the others are Western-style twin rooms. All furniture in the room is custom made and made of Hida cypress. The room has a calm atmosphere.

We have fresh and wide variety of the local foodstuffs such as fish, meat and vegetables and try to cook bringing out the goodness of them. We welcome you with original seasonal meals rather than kaiseki meals. "Mabu-no-Ie" where the meal is served has a calm atmosphere with the sound of the river. There is a kitchen across the counter and we put importance on communication with the guests, too.

*Now, we cannot serve our guests meals.
