The house was built in the early Showa-era by Vories and used by a missionary, Reverend Farnum as his house. After WWII, it was used as a guest house by Hitachi Zosen Corporation and it was abounded later after a recession hit the shipbuilding business. Finally, in 1987, the house was restored to its old glory and used as a pension as it is now.
