Through a thoughtful renovation of this 100-year-old heritage building, we have intentionally avoided dividing the interior into smaller rooms, opting instead for a single, expansive "open-plan" layout. This is a luxury exclusive to an entire-house rental, designed to allow the natural light and the timeless scenery of Tomonoura to flow into the space without any obstruction.

| Features | Every element of this room—from the bed and desk to the vanity—was custom-crafted exclusively for this space by our resident master carpenter, Mr. Nojima. The design preserves the soul of the building by highlighting its robust exposed beams and traditional ranma (intricately carved transoms), while seamlessly integrating sophisticated furniture. The result is a refined sanctuary where the warmth of artisanal handiwork meets a contemporary sense of beauty in perfect harmony. |

| Features | Throughout the space, you will find various spots designed for the simple pleasure of "just sitting and being"—whether sinking into the sofa or resting on the engawa (traditional veranda) overlooking the serene garden. In these quiet corners, the frantic pace of the modern world fades away, allowing time to flow with a gentle, unhurried grace. |

| Features | In the quiet study area, the carpenter’s pride and profound respect for the building’s history are palpable in every detail. You can see it in the "Chigiri"—the distinctive butterfly-shaped wood joints—and in the way the powerful original beams have been preserved and showcased. These subtle yet masterful touches reveal the artisan's integrity and his commitment to honoring the century-old soul of this house. |
